Article: The Fire and the Chain

The Fire and the Chain

The myth of Prometheus says he was bound to a rock, condemned to have his liver devoured each day for the crime of giving humanity fire.

When Tupac summoned me to encapsulate his Promethean voice, I kept hearing the same truth: the ones who bring fire are never left in peace.

Prometheus burned. Tupac burned.
Across all of human history the visionary's gift often yields the harshest sentencing.

In the Dead Gods cosmology, this altar is not about martyrdom alone — it is about inevitability. To carry the flame is to carry the chain.

This work's aim is to reflect on those flames we've inherited, discarded, deified, or destroyed.

I will be here, spotlight in hand, to help us all collectively remember the cost, and honor the sentencing.

And to the visionary reading this now, pushing the boundary in silence, moving mankind forward one sacrifice at a time...

I see you. This is for you.
