Jimi Hendrix descended through sound. Like Orpheus who sang the underworld open, Hendrix’s guitar bent the veil between worlds. Behind the spotlight, however, was the quiet unraveling that so many prophetic artists face — the undoing of body and spirit beneath the weight of vision.

In this altar, Hendrix is Orpheus electrified. His riffs were laments and invocations, love songs and revolts. He carried us closer to the divine, but the rift swallowed him too soon.

What I learned creating this piece: every person is born with a divine gift, and using it is our lifeline to source energy and our path. But the gift must be guarded — if everyone has access to it, if it’s consumed without boundaries, it can drag us into the Underworld.

The song still echoes. The descent is not the end.
